Tito Agnoli, born in Lima, Peru, to an Italian family in 1931, moved to Italy after World War II. Initially trained as a painter under Sironi, he began studying architecture in 1949, graduating in 1959. During his studies, he served as an assistant to both Gio Ponti and Carlo De Darli. By the early 1950s, Agnoli was already deeply engaged in professional design work. His prolific career included projects for renowned brands such as Arflex, Cinova, Lema, Matteo Grassi, Molteni, Montina, Oluce, Pierantonio Bonacina, Poltrona Frau, Schiffini, and Ycami. Frequently nominated for the Compasso d’Oro (Golden Compass) Award, Agnoli won the gold medal at the 1986 Neocon in Chicago. Several of his works are part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. He passed away in Milan in February 2012.
